Having opened 30 years ago during the 1982-1983 winter, Grand Massif ski resort has developed into an exceptional destination both for its environment and for the quality of its ski terrain. This is an immense area of almost 40,000 hectares was created from a liaison created between La Tête des Saix and the four ski resorts of Flaine, Les Carroz, Morillon, and Samoëns.

In Le Grand Massif ski resort, several trails stand out and offer all aficionados the opportunity to experience an unforgettable ski holiday. The longest run is called The Cascades and takes novice skiers on a 14 Km long ride in the heart of the immaculate landscapes of the region. Shorter but just as magical is Marvel, this trail offers a gliding experience both sensational and exotic at the heart of centuries-old fir trees.

Le Grand Massif ski resort is an extremely diverse ski area with vast untouched spaces and snow abundance designed for nature lovers. The terrain breakdown is approximately 56% beginner trails, 33% intermediate and 11% for advanced skiers and snowboarders.

The ski trails are connected by 67 lifts, and there is a wonderful view of the Hochsavoyer Alps and the Mont Blanc.

As with the trails, the five skiing villages of Le Grand Massif ski resort also have something for every taste. While Flaine, the central station offers the comfort of a modern and functionally arranged skiing village without car traffic, Les Carroz d'Araches, Samoëns and Morillon are original authentic mountain villages like from a picture book.
