The ski area is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders. But there is a large terrain for beginners and some for advanced skiers. There is 20km (12mi) of cross country ski trails. For snowboarders, there is a half pipe. All of the pistes at Schladming Dachstein-Reiteralm ski resort are covered by snow-making.

It is the meeting point for the world's best skiers. Repeatedly, during the winter the Austrian ski team as well as numerous other international WorldCup ski teams come to train right here! In addition, the gondola "Preunegg Jet" will be in operation from mid-June until the end of September every Tuesday and Friday.
