Tignes ski resort is located in the Savoie region of France. It was host to the freestyle skiing venue for the 1992 winter Olympics and a co-host city for the 1992 Winter Paralympics.

The village is located at 1,550m and the peak elevation takes you up to 3,450m providing skiers and boarders with a mind blowing 1,900m vertical drop. With such impressive altitude Tignes ski resort offers skiing and snowboarding on Grande Motte glacier well after the official ski season ends for most of the European ski resorts.

Tignes ski resort is part of Espace Killy ski area. It is interconnected with Vald d’isere ski resort as well fiver picturesque villages of Brevieres, Lavachet, Boisses, Val Claret and Le Lac. The combined skiing of the Espace Killy offers 300km of terrain with over 150 individual trails. This is accessed by a combined 90 ski lifts.

Here, skiers enjoy world-renowned terrain parks and half pipe. At the summit of the Grande Motte glacier is the ultimate symbol of Tignes ski resort, depicted by the white “wave” against a blue-sky background. Offering a total of 150km of skiable terrain. The terrain breakdown is approximately 9% beginner trails, 45% intermediate and 46% for advanced skiers and snowboarders.

Skiing year round in Tignes is possible. The summer days in Tignes ski resort start with cooler temperatures in the morning and end with flip-flops in the afternoon!
