Val d'isere ski resort offers 150km of trails with 21% (31.5 km) of the total terrain ideal for beginners, 40% (60 km) for intermediate skiers and 40% (60 km) for the more advanced and expert level skiers and snowboarders. This is all accessible with 42 ski lifts spread across three village access points.

With numerous long, fast, wide trails heading off in all directions through the six skiing sectors of the Val d’isere Tignes, intermediates enjoy the most of the terrain on offer. Beginners again have all they need to progress rapidly. The free lifts in the resort's nursery runs area and a choice of over 500 ski school instructors to help them on their way. Novices only risk is of being daunted by the huge terrain around them.

Val d'isere ski resort’s snowsure runs make it an ideal venue many ski and snowboard events each year. Most important of these is the Critérium de la Première Neige. It's a Federation Internationale de Ski (FIS) competition that has been running since 1955 and a joy to watch.
