Val Thorens ski resort is located in Savoie, France. With a peak elevation of 3,230 m, it offers skiers and snowboarders a massive 1,930m vertical drop. It is the highest resort in Europe with 99% of it’s terrain above 2,000m and is also part of the world’s largest ski area, Les Trois Vallées (Les 3 Vallées).

Val Thorens ski resort boasts remarkable sunshine and snow cover. 6 glaciers and 6 equipped mountain peaks at altitude of more than 3,000m are all visible from the summit. You can enjoy stunning panoramic views over more than 1000 peaks in the French, Swiss and Italian Alps from La Cime Caron (3,200m).

Les 3 Vallees comprises 6 ski resorts with a combined ski area provides of over 600km. With over 500 individual trails this combined area is serviced by 180 ski lifts. In addition to Val Thorens ski resort Les 3 Vallees also includes Courchevel, Meribel, Brides-les-Bains, Saint Martin de Belleville and Les Menuires.

On it’s own Val Thorens ski resort offers 150 km of trails with 14% (21 km) of the total terrain ideal for beginners, 38% (56 km) for intermediate skiers and 48% (72 km) ifor the more advanced and expert level skiers and snowboarders. They also have a massive terrain park with airbag suitable for all levels of skiers and boarders. Located on the plateau sector is it easily accessed by several lifts.

This is all accessible with 32 ski lifts.

Due to its high altitude, the ski area offers skiing for six months of the year, November to mid-May. Combined with it’s altitude and consistent snowfalls Val Thorens ski resort offers 100% ski-in ski-out accommodation with close access to the ski ifts.
