Verbier ski resort is the most famous in the 4 Vallées ski domain and is situated in south-west of Switzerland in the canton of Valais. Verbier ski resort is recognized as one of the best "off-piste" ski resorts in the world and offers an impressive 1,830m vertical drop. With their highest peak is at 3330m it’s a leg-burn of a ski down to the resort level of 1,500m.

Verbier ski resort is bordered by Italy to the south and France to the west. Verbier is one of the most renowned ski resorts when it comes to “off-piste”. The world famous Verbier Xtreme Free-ride contest is hosted in the winter. Verbier ski resort is part of the 4 Vallées ski domain. The 4 Vallées ski domain joins six ski resorts making it the biggest ski area in Switzerland and the 3rd biggest in Europe! It links Veysonnaz ski resort (1350m), Thyon ski resort, Nendaz ski resort, and via the Mont-Fort which summits at 3330m, Verbier ski resort and La Tzoumaz ski resort.

Verbier ski resort has the longest run of 8km with a total 412km trail that makes the resort unique to the visitors. The terrain breakdown is about 39% beginner trails, 22% intermediate and 39% for advanced skiers and snowboarders. Various ski and snowboard schools offer group and private lessons, performance coaching and clinics. There are also a several independent mountain guides as well as the mountain guides companies. Due to the sheer size and scale of the terrain that Verbier ski resort offers, and the quantity of off-piste terrain, we highly recommend having a guide or instructor for at least a day.
